Mike Frawley is Senior Vice President and Global Head of Metals and Plastics for Calyon Financial. With metals staff in Calyon’s London, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo offices, Mike has metals teams on the floors of the London Metal Exchange and the COMEX. Calyon Financial is an integrated floor to office member of the London Metal Exchange and NYMEX, COMEX Division.
Mike is a Board Director of the London Metal Exchange, the American Copper Council and the Copper Club. In addition, Mike serves on the Non-Ferrous Metals Committee for the COMEX Division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Having graduated from the University of New York with a degree in business and economics, Mike's career evolved from his early professional period as principal in a zinc and cadmium anode distribution business. Mike then began trading for Metal Traders Inc., which was at the time a leading New York based metals trading company. Mike proceeded to metals brokering and trading within the US and London broker dealer community for some of the foremost securities and commodities companies in the World, including; Paine Webber Dean Witter Reynolds, Carr Futures and is presently at Calyon Financial.
