After the recent launch of two regional steel billet contracts, the LME is conducting a training course in Hong Kong on 2 October 2008 designed to provide an in-depth overview of the Exchange and the services it provides for market users. LME Steel Pricing and Risk Management assists those in the steel and associated industries to understand the value that these new contracts can add to their business by bringing transparency, reference pricing and risk management to the volatile steel market.
The course aims at assisting people involved in pricing physical transactions and in assessing risk management tools in the steel industry. Individuals working within the following business areas would benefit from attending: procurement, finance, risk management, treasury, sales and commercial.
