The LME is pleased to inform you of the availability of a newly compiled “evening evaluations” data set for metals and plastics. This dataset contains a complete record of all evening evaluation data for all contracts from 1997 to 2005. Essentially, this data is the closing prices established for all LME contracts on the Exchange trading floor and the end of each working day.
This is the first time this information has been made available to the market as a complete data source.
This information will be of great value to you in analysing key trends within the non-ferrous and plastics markets, or to understand the possible structure of forward markets via trend analysis.
The database includes all evening evaluation data for LME contracts from 1997 to 2005. For metals, this includes on a daily basis, potentially all daily prompt data for cash to 3 months then monthly prompts (3rd Weds) out to:
63 Months for Copper and Aluminium
27 Months for Nickel, Zinc, Aluminium Alloy and NASAAC
15 Months for Lead and Tin.
For plastics, it will consist of the daily evening evaluations for the full 15 months of the two contracts.
