| The London Metal Exchange has a formal application process for anyone wishing to distribute LME data to third parties.
The application process consists of the following steps:
Step 1 The application process aims to confirm the nature of your business and viability of distributing London Metal Exchange market data. Before proceeding with your application you should read the entire contents of the Market Data section of this website
Step 2 Download the application pack which comprises the following documents:
- LME Data Distribution Agreement – This document provides a detailed introduction into the LME vendor approval and application process, including documentation required for real-time/30-mins delayed vendor applications
- Application Form - Please complete this document in full, providing as much detail as possible. Failure to answer any questions in full may cause a delay in your application process
- Schedule 1 – Exchange Fees schedule - lists Annual License Fees and subscriber Exchange fees
- Schedule 2 – Reports - lists the requirements for subscriber reporting
- Schedule 3 – Audits – lists roles, responsibilities and requirements for vendor audits
Read the Terms and Conditions to ensure you understand all of the responsibilities of our distributors in their dissemination of LME data.
Step 3 Complete and return your application form to market.data@lme.com or alternatively by post to: The Data Channel Manager, The London Metal Exchange, 56 Leadenhall Street, London EC3A 2DX, UK.
Step 4 The Exchange will aim to review your application within 6 weeks of receipt of your completed application pack. Please note that this review period may be extended where applicants have not provided all the information requested in the application pack.
Step 5 After the review period the Exchange will inform you if your application is successful. If approved, we will provide you with further instructions on how to complete your application prior to you distributing LME market data. |
