On completion of a five year short service commission in the Royal Navy James Land became articled to a firm of accountants and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982.
He joined Amalgamated Metal Trading Ltd in 1983 and has held several positions in the company since then, including the posts of Company Secretary, Compliance Officer and Finance Director. He was appointed Managing Director in 2000.
Mr Land is a director of the Futures and Options association, a non-executive director of AMT Futures Ltd and sits on various committees within the AMC Group.
