Philip started in Noranda Sales London in 1985 looking after precious metals secondaries and byproducts. In 1987 he joined Goldman Sachs/J Aron as an associate and became an Executive Director in 1991. He was initially involved in developing Gold physical marketing and the Platinum Group Metals business. Since 1993, Philip has focused on developing the Base Metals Marketing effort when Goldman started to trade LME metals covering consumers/producers/investors/physical merchants in addition to keeping his precious metals responsibilities for Europe/Middle East and Asia .
Philip was appointed to the board on 3 March 2003.
