What is LMElive?

LMElive is the LME’s own data application, providing customers with key LME pricing, information and tools for metals traded on the London Metal Exchange in addition to LBMA Platinum and Palladium auction pricing. Features include:

  • Real-time (or 30 minutes delayed) LME Non-ferrous, Ferrous, Aluminium Premiums and LMEprecious data
  • LBMA Platinum and LBMA Palladium twice daily auction pricing (desktop only)
  • Consolidated non-ferrous weekly analytics reports
  • Options price display for full coverage of non-ferrous traded options
  • Customisable web browser platform
  • Easy quick access with no installation downloads
  • Download reports into Excel tables at the click of a button, and
  • LMElive anywhere ensures you stay in touch with the latest market price moves from your mobile phone wherever you are.

How do I subscribe to LMElive?

Customers can sign up online for a four week free trial or a monthly or annual subscription on the LME’s Online Licensing Portal. Please Register an account first and navigate to the Data Services section of the Online Licensing Portal to subscribe. 

The application can be launched using the following link: https://portal.lmelive.com.

Do you offer a free trial of LMElive?

All users are entitled to a four week free trial of LMElive which will automatically expire following the trial period. Please note that four week free trials are restricted to one per year.

 Customers can sign up for a four week free trial on the LME's Online Licensing Portal. Please Register an account first and then navigate to the Data Services section of the Online Licensing Portal to apply for your free trial.

What are the technical requirements to access LMElive?

LMElive can be accessed via a browser using the following link: https://portal.lmelive.com. There are no installation downloads required. Currently supported browsers are :

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer

Whilst the Graphical User Interface (GUI) may work on other browsers, it is currently not officially supported. LMElive is optimised for a display resolution of at least 1366 x 768 pixels. LMElive will work on lower resolutions, but the user may need to scroll to see all data.

Is there a discount for multiple users at my company subscribing to LMElive?

If you require corporate access or more than three subscriptions within your organisation, discounts apply.

Please send all enquires regarding multiple LMElive logins to LMElive Support.

Are there extra fees to add LMEprecious data to my existing LMElive subscription?

No - LMEprecious data is fee waived until further notice, so you will not be charged for the addition of LMEprecious data to your subscription.

In order to add LMEprecious (gold and silver) data to your current subscription package, please complete the subscription workflow again, choosing LMEprecious Desktop and/or LMEprecious anywhere as your subscription option.

If a user wishes to access LMEprecious on the desktop and the mobile, please complete the subscription workflow twice, subscribing to LMEprecious Desktop and LMEprecious anywhere separately.

Can I subscribe to only LMEprecious data?

Yes - LMEprecious is fee waived until further notice so customers are able to subscribe to LMEprecious prices and data for free.

If a user wishes to access LMEprecious (gold and silver) data, please complete the subscription workflow on the Online Licensing Portal.

Can I display LME data on my website?

You can display LME data on a next day delayed basis on your website after being approved as a licensed LME data distributor. There is a one-off registration fee of $3,000.

How do I cancel my LMElive subscription?

If you would like to cancel your subscription prior to the renewal date, you can do so in the 'Your Subscriptions' page on the Online Licensing Portal.

Customers must give notice at least thirty (30) days (in the case of annual subscriptions) before the date on which the renewal payment is due. Customers with a monthly subscription must cancel their subscription at least 5 days before the next monthly payment is due to ensure they are not charged for the following month.

Please note that you will still have access to the subscription until the end of your subscription term.

I didn't receive the account registration email?

Please try to whitelist reg@lme.proofidcloud.com in your email settings. Additionally, please also check your email Junk folder.

If you are still having issues, please email LMElive Support.

LMElive isn't updating or showing data. What should I do?

Please try the following:

  1. Ensure you are connected to the Internet
  2. Refresh your screen
  3. Clear your browser history
  4. Log out of the application and then log back in

The Online Licensing Portal/My LMElive account is locked, what should I do?

If you have locked your account by entering your password incorrectly, the account should automatically unlock after a short period of time once you enter the correct password. If you are still having trouble logging in, please email.

What are the subscription terms and fees?

All users are entitled to a four week free trial of LMElive which will automatically expire following the trial period. Please note that four week free trials are restricted to one per year per user.

Following the free trial period, all users can subscribe to an annual or monthly service.

LMElive subscription fees are outlined in Schedule 3 of the LME Market Data Services Agreement available in the Documents Section of the Online Licensing Portal or on the Product Options page under the LMElive ‘Subscribe’ option. Users will be asked to accept these terms before subscribing to a trial or purchasing a Data Services subscription.
