LMEmercury is operated by LME Clear and is the core clearing platform for the LME. The clearing system allows Members to monitor and assess the risk they are taking on in real time, reducing risk for all participants in the global metals market.
LMEmercury was designed and built in consultation with the Members and in conjunction with technology partner. LMEmercury uses cutting edge technology. The technology and processes that underpin LMEmercury have transformed the industry. LME Clear has taken technology traditionally found in a high-volume, low-latency trading environments and applied it to the clearing business – transforming traditional end-of-day risk reporting into active, real-time risk management with robust systematic controls, alerts and monitoring. LMEmercury also uses an innovative traffic light system to show the collateral position of clearing members against their collateral requirement.
LMEmercury is a browser-delivered application providing real-time screens and reports. Users have the ability to export data directly from the user interface or via the comprehensive reporting capabilities. LMEmercury stores all clearing-related information in a database designed to scale with the ambitions of LME Clear, architected for rapid data retrieval, large volumes and efficient storage.

Important: As per Notice 20/169
LMEselect, LMEselectMD and LMEsource applications in MTB environment will not be available for Members and other market participants to perform their own system/software testing from 03 August 2020 until further notice.
Members are advised to use above applications in LME Member Test A (MTA) environment for any testing.
For the avoidance of doubt LMEsmart, LMEmercury and all other applications in MTB will still be accessible.
