LME Clear is pleased to announce the appointment of Claire Chapman as Independent Non-Executive Director of the Board.
A highly accomplished legal professional, Claire Chapman is currently General Counsel, Company Secretary and Chief People Officer of Hargreaves Lansdown plc. Prior to this role Claire held a number of General Counsel positions over a 20-year period, including at Capita plc, Daily Mail & General Trust plc, Inchcape plc and Thomson Reuters plc.
Commenting on the appointment, David Warren, LME Clear Chairman, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Claire to the Board of Directors. She brings with her a wealth of legal, regulatory and governance expertise that will further enhance the breadth and depth of the LME Clear Board’s knowledge and skillsets. I have no doubt that Claire’s insights and guidance will be invaluable as we evolve and drive forward our business and markets.”
Claire trained at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, qualifying into the intellectual property practice in 1993. She has a Masters in International Law and is a qualified solicitor (England and Wales) as well as attorney (New York).
