Do you work in the metals industry and play golf? If the answer is yes, then the London Metal Exchange Golf Association (LMEGA) is for you.
Run by members of the global metals community, the LMEGA is not only a great way to network with fellow metal professionals on the golf course, it also happens to be the oldest golf association in the world (founded before 1901).
What does the LMEGA do?
The LMEGA organises a series of competitive, not-so-competitive and social matches & events throughout the year, at some of the UK’s best courses.
The £40-a-year membership entitles you to play in any of the matches (at a subsidised rate). Overseas membership is £15.
Who is it for?
Membership is open to golfers of all standards, from beginners to single-digit handicappers.
The only entry criteria is that you are, or have been, involved in metals in some way - anything from physical producers and consumers of metal (all along the value chain) to warehouse operators, metal traders and employees of the LME and LME member firms.
The LMEGA also offers its own branded golf wear including the Association tie (compulsory wear at functions), sweaters, golf shirts and caps.
