As part of the LME’s action plan to enhance and strengthen its markets, the LME has introduced Member Guidance on Notification Requirements (PDF) highlighting some specific circumstances in which the LME would ordinarily expect to receive information from Members and or may request further information from Members, in each case in accordance with its existing rules.
The Guidance is focused on the type of information the LME would expect to receive or request in relation to potential market distortions under its existing rules. The main types of information the LME would expect to receive or request under the Guidance are summarised below:
Note: For the avoidance of doubt, the Guidance is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the circumstances in which Members would be expected to provide information to the LME under its rules.
