Anant is the Founder and CIO of Greenland Investment Management, a $1bn+ systematic commodity manager.  He is an industry veteran with over 18 years of systematic investing experience. 

Prior to Greenland, Anant co-founded India's first onshore hedge fund, Forefront Capital Management, a systematic investment management firm.  He successfully sold Forefront to Edelweiss Financial Services in 2014. 

Prior to Forefront, Anant was a portfolio manager at AQR Capital as part of the Global Stock Selection team where he managed global statistical arbitrage and U.S. equity portfolios. 

Anant graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology (M&T) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics and a B.S.E. in Computer Engineering.  Anant is a member of the London Metal Exchange (LME) Copper Committee.

Anuj Bareja is a transformational engineering professional with 25+ years of proven history in metallurgic trading, operations management, research and development, technical marketing, and cross-functional team leadership within the natural resources industry.

As the Founder of Asier Metals Pvt. Ltd, he set up India’s’ first global trading housing with expertise to handle metals like, refined metals, scrap, ferro alloys, and precious metals.

Mr Bareja holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, (1st Division), (Specialisation in Marketing) from Centre for Management Development, in Modinagar, and a Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (1st Division with Distinction) from Maharashtra College of Engineering.

Mr Sameer Narang is the Head of Economic Research at ICICI Bank Ltd. He has close to 20 years of experience in macroeconomics and investment research, spanning both public and private sector. In his earlier role, he was the Chief Economist at Bank of Baroda.

The Economics Research Group at ICICI Bank analyses global and domestic macroeconomic themes spanning growth, inflation, monetary and fiscal policies, with impact on markets and different asset classes. Sameer is a graduate of Delhi School of Economics and also holds a MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

After taking charge as the CEO of Hindalco’s Aluminium Business in August 2013, Satish Pai was the driving force behind mega greenfield projects that established Hindalco as among the biggest producers of primary aluminium in Asia.

In February 2014, he was appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of the company and was also entrusted with Hindalco’s copper business.

Mr. Pai became the Managing Director of Hindalco in August 2016. In his role as MD, he also oversees the operations of Hindalco subsidiary Novelis Inc., the world’s largest aluminium rolling and recycling company.

Prior to joining Aditya Birla Group, Mr. Pai worked with Schlumberger based out of Paris. Over the course of his 28- year-career with the MNC, he held important positions and was responsible for Schlumberger operations globally.

He holds a patent in directional drilling. He received the Distinguished Alumni Award by IIT Madras in 2017. He received an Honorary Doctorate from Utkal University in 2024 for his extraordinary contributions to the metals industry. He was recognised with ‘BT-PwC India’s Best CEOs 2024 - super large companies’ award.

He serves as the Chairman, Non-Ferrous Metals at FICCI, and is the Chair of the Vikaasa collation, formed by Xynteo, a sustainability advisory firm. He also serves as Director on the boards of Aditya Birla Management Corporation Pvt. Ltd., and BP p.l.c.

Yang  Liu  is the Head of China Client Development at the London Metal Exchange, responsible for developing LME’s footprint in China and emerging markets.

Ms Yang has over 20 years of experience from brokerage and investment banks in the commodity sector, with a focus on industrial background clients in the Asia Pacific region.

Ms Yang has well-rounded knowledge and expertise to help her clients maximise potential in financing, hedging and trading. Prior to joining the LME in 2016, Ms Yang worked as Director of Standard Chartered Bank and Senior Account executive for Category 1 LME member such as Natixis and Sucden Financials.

Ms Yang has Master’s degree in Management and Finance from the University of Bath.
