LME Listed Samplers and Assayers (LSAs) are independent organisations skilled in the chemical analysis of metals.
From an LME perspective the approved organisations play an important role before and after brands are listed.
Before
LSAs are required to sample and evaluate the chemical quality of metals, which are subject to assessment, before a brand is approved. Evaluation must comply with the quality requirements outlined in contract specifications.
After
LSAs will issue certificates of analysis basis agreed sampling procedures for metals to be placed on LME warrant where original producer documentation may not be available.
