The EU Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products Regulation (EU) No. 1286/2014 (“EU PRIIPs Regulation”) has been in force since 1 January 2018. The EU PRIIPs Regulation applies to packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (“PRIIPs”). The LME, as the manufacturer of PRIIPs that may have a certain degree of retail investor participation, has created a “key information document” or “KID” for each of its in-scope investment products in compliance with the EU PRIIPs Regulation.
The LME is also subject to the EU PRIIPs Regulation as “onshored” into UK law and subsequently amended following the end of the Brexit transition period (the “UK PRIIPs Regulation”). The LME has also created a separate set of KIDs covering each of its in-scope investment products in compliance with the UK PRIIPs Regulation.
Both sets of KIDs are accessible below.
