Welcome to the London Metal Exchange Group's (LMEG) customer test home page where you can find all information relating to our customer test service and environments.
Market Test (MT) is split into two separate environments - Market Test A (MTA) and Market Test B (MTB). The MT environments are accessible over LMEnet and CDC with a subset of services accessible via the internet. MT is only present in DC1. Connectivity details are contained within the LME Systems Connectivity Guide (PDF) .
MTA: Application versions replicate LME’s current production system versions and provide our existing market participants a testing platform to test their FIX feeds, trading strategies, internal systems, etc. It is also used to allow potential new client’s exposure to LMEG’s trading systems.
MTB: This is where LME deploys and test fixes and upgrades to their systems which includes, but is not limited to, LMEselect, LMEsource, LMEsmart, and LMEmercury. This environment can be accessed by existing and/or new market participants to test their systems/platforms against LME’s future systems releases/upgrades. MTB will be used for the customer test phase of the New Trading Platform (NTP).

Scheduled maintenance
Scheduled maintenance is planned for Thursdays between the hours of 00.00-12.00 (London time). Although we will always aim to plan for this day and times, there may be occasions when we need to plan maintenance on different days and times depending on the nature or urgency of the maintenance.
Upcoming scheduled maintenance will also be added to the LME Group general update weekly email sent by the LME Relationship Management team every Friday.
