What is a distribution licence?

Customers who wish to distribute LME data outside of their organisation, or to display LME data on a public website/application, require a distribution licence.

Who is it for?

  • data and information vendors
  • website operators

How much does it cost?

Fees vary depending on whether distribution is real-time, 30 minutes or next day delayed data. The annual licence fee for distributing real-time and/or 30 minutes delayed LME data is $20,000 and there are per user fees for most licence types.

Next day distribution incurs a one-off fee of $4,000.

How do I apply?

  • Real-time / 30 minutes
Application for a distribution licence can be complete via the online licensing portal. The LME will aim to review your application within 6 weeks of receipt of your submitted order. Please note that this review period may be extended where applicants have not provided all the information requested.
  • Next day
A next day distribution licence can be applied for and executed electronically on the LME’s online licensing portal.
