What is a distribution licence?
Customers who wish to distribute LME data within their organisation or outside of their organisation, or display LME data on a public website/application, require a distribution licence.
Who is it for?
Including and not limited to:
- data and information vendors
- website operators
- Members or trading participants
How much does it cost?
Fees vary depending on whether distribution is real-time, 30 minutes or next day delayed data. The annual licence fee for distributing all real-time and/or 30 minutes delayed LME data is $20,000 and $10,000 for Growth LME Data. There are per user subscriber fees for most licence types. Next day distribution incurs a one-off fee of $4,000.

How do I apply?
- Real-time / 30 minutes
Application for a distribution licence can be complete via the Online Licensing Portal (OLP). The LME will aim to review your application within 6 weeks of receipt of your submitted order. Please note that this review period may be extended where applicants have not provided all the information requested. - Next day
A next day distribution licence can be applied for and executed electronically on the LME’s Online Licensing Portal (OLP).
