Customers who would like to receive LME data for the purpose of manipulating it or combining it with other data in order to create derived information or a derived product, such as an index, may be subject to a Derived data licence.

Customers who would like to receive LME data for the purpose of manipulating it or combining it with other data in order to create Contracts for Difference (CFDs) and Exchange Traded Products (ETPs), may be subject to a CFDs and ETPs licence.

Who are they for?

The Derived Data licence is for firms who create derived information or derived products using LME as a constituent. Examples include (but not limited to):

  • Indexes

The CFDs and ETPs licence is for firms who create CFDs and ETPs using LME data as a constituent. Examples include (but not limited to):

  • Exchange trade commodity (ETC)
  • Exchange traded fund (ETF)
  • Exchange traded note (ETN)
  • Contract for Difference (CFDs)

How much does it cost?

Fees vary depending on the particular use case.
